Tell us a little about yourself.
I am the project coordinator for SSO Goes Alternative. I am passionate about citizens having more involvement in the policy-making process (more bottom-up decision-making). I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, thought-provoking discussions, singing, great food, and opportunities to express my creativity (like home decorating, gardening, designing projects, and more).
Why are you interested in Students Speak Out?
Student citizens should have the opportunity to provide input into decisions adults are making about school. And as a mother whose kids will be going to school soon, I think it is especially important that we find ways to educate young people to succeed in life. Adults need input from young people to do this well...

I am actually at an EdVisions Coop event at Hamline today. I will hit up the mayor. ;) I shared this site with my students, but no takers yet. I think they may be social networked out. Keep me in the loop.
