Wow! I really like this! I feel like everyone did such a good job! Thanks to Annie for recording this and for all those who contributed to it. I feel like from this discussion we all had really good input and a strong opinion on the topic of bullying. I think that with open discussion like this, we as the student get the opportunity to speak our minds and be real about the issues that is affecting us. I am greatly thankful that we can now make a difference with this video too. I mean we can branch to other students and school over the places because we all came together and brainstorm ideas to what can be the change or the solutions. If we start small and start somewhere, this can definitely make our voices to be heard. I think that from this project I came to a conclusion that there is not just one, but many ways to how bullying begins and how it can affect students in their academic lives. I believe that we touch base on a lot of great ideas to bullying and how there are ways that can decrease the amount of bullying in school. However, we all agreed upon the ideas of, it takes everyone's contribution to make a difference..ie...student's,parents, teachers, staff, school board members, and all supportive adults in our community. Knowing that there is not just one way to end bullying, I do believe that our findings start with our panel of students coming together. We have created a social networking tool that will benefit our generation and the ones to come. The fact that we are more willing and out there to speak up against the wrong, we are able to bring out important issues in search for solutions. Therefore, with the help of the student panelists, we all have done a great job to come together and focus our goals in making a differences in our community.

The movie is great. Thanks Annie.
The presentation at the teacher workshop went well. Most of the teachers had a pretty good view of bullying in the schools and what needs to be done to stop it. When the question about what kind of bullying is the worst came up there were many different answers but the one that I liked best was, one of the teachers said that all kinds of bullying are equally damaging. It sounded like the main thing that stops teachers from stepping up to deal with bullying is the same as it is for kids; they're not sure they will have support from other people, especially when it comes to bullying between staff members.
I really liked working on the School Safety project because it taught me a lot that I did not know about problems like bullying. I hadn't thought about bullying very much because I myself was never bullied and none of my close friends have been. It's not like bullying never happened at my school, but it didn't happen enough that I paid that much attention to it. After working on this project I definitely notice the more subtle forms of bullying that generally go unnoticed by people who are not directly involved in it.
This was a great opportunity for us as students to make a difference in our schools and to encourage other students, as well as adults in the schools, to get involved and pay attention to what is happening around them. I really liked that we got to share our opinions and get suggestions and feed back. People listened to what we had to say about our schools and that was very important. In our discussions we didn't always agree but that made it that much more interesting.
Thank you to the rest of the student leaders. It was great working with you and I learned a lot.
